Individual Counselling
The most common type of counselling where the client and the counsellor sit one-on-one and work on the challenges the clients face, as well as practice skills that can alleviate the burdens they face in their daily lives through various therapeutic techniques.
Group Counselling
NDIS participants are given counselling together as a group to help build teamwork, communication skills, and friendships that can help them learn from each other and even improve community participation. Through, participants can learn more about each other’s experiences and get some insights on how to better cope with their situation.
Group Therapy
NDIS accredited providers come together as a group and collaborate in helping their shared client achieve their goal/s in a single session. This is to maximise the use of the resources the client has in their NDIS plan.
Community Engagement Assistance
A Positive Moods staff will guide a group of NDIS participants in improving social relations and community participation. The end-goal of this counselling session is to increase the clients’ participation in the Townsville community to help gain insight into their lives, become integrated into the community, and increase personal relationships.
