We provide individualised treatment plans for our participants because we understand that each individual has different needs and individual life goals.

As a NDIS provider, we at Positive Moods know that a one size fits all is never going to work; every person and their challenges are unique to them and must be treated as such to achieve the best outcomes for them.

We actively support the participant and their aim to make their mental and physical health less of a barrier to living their best life; this includes things like impaired or diminished capacities, mental illnesses, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, aged persons, acquired brain injuries and people with other medical challenges. We are excited to bring the expertise practitioners to Melbourne.

We deliver services under the Improved Daily Living (IDL) therapeutic support and Improved Relationships, for the development and implementation of a Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP), registration groups which are administered by our experienced practitioners.

Benefits of Improved Daily Living Practitioners

There are numerous benefits of seeing a practitioner such as the ones here in Positive Moods. It has been mentioned before but it bears repeating, our practitioners can lend an empathetic ear and provide a safe space for participants to discuss their problems without judgement and be assured that confidentiality will be maintained at all times.

Participants are free to explore their thoughts and emotions in an unguarded way in a safe environment. Positive Moods’ practitioners are trained to listen to their participant’s problems with an objective but empathetic ear. Their job is to also help the participant find solutions to their problems by giving the necessary tools and strategies for their specific circumstances.

Going to see a professional therapist is a great starting point for becoming a more self-aware person; they can ask participants questions that get them to view their situations from another perspective and give them a fresh look at an old problem. Seeing a therapeutic support professional is a great way to learn different coping mechanisms for stressful situations.

There's so much to gain with seeing a psychologist including challenging oneself to get out of one's comfort zone and to seek out new experiences to improve as a person and achieve personal goals.

Our practitioners here at Positive Moods have provided these benefits and more to our participants. We are sensitive to our participant’s needs and goals and are excited to provide our professional services to participants throughout Australia.
