Jaclyn

Jaclyn is a highly reliable and dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner who brings an empathetic and friendly approach to her work with adolescents and families.

Jaclyn is passionate about addressing complex trauma and has a special interest in a number of fields including PTSD, ADHD, ODD, Pathological Demand Avoidance, autism, complex family dynamics, and psychosocial disorders. Her integrity and professional curiosity drives her to foster strong relationships with participants and their support terms.

She utilises a range of techniques including strengths-based practice, trauma-informed practice, and the Ecological Systems Approach. Jaclyn also incorporates mindfulness and relaxation techniques, environmental modifications (visual, sensory, routine), positive programming (Functional Communication Training, Alternative Skill Training), and therapeutic crisis intervention. Her wealth of knowledge comes from her experience in various sectors including early intervention family support, child protection, residential out-of-home care, and youth justice bail support and her commitment to fostering positive outcomes is evident in her experience.

She currently holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and is completing her Master of Social Work, which she is expected to finish this year.

Jaclyn is available to support participants on the northside of Brisbane.
